Our Story

We are a local Kitchener & Waterloo lawn mowing business that has been cutting grass in K-W since 2015. Our focus is serving residential properties with a specific focus on small to mid size yards. We picked the name “Yard Star” because our world revolves around lawn maintenance like a planet orbiting a star which is where we get our slogan - ‘Our world revolves around your yard’. The name Yard Star serves as a reminder to us to appreciate the lawns that we maintain because they give us life, the same way the sun gives life to the grass that we mow. With this appreciation of the yards that we serve, we also strive to be ‘Yard Stars’ which is another interpretation of our name. We strive to be the best at what we do just like a movie star or a sports star is the best at what they do, we want to be ‘Yard Stars’. A Yard Star isn’t just cutting grass or mowing lawns, they also take pride in their craft and aim to make your lawn look as if it was maintained by a star lawn care provider.
